Hees House was on the market for 12 days before the offer was made, according to The MLS.

I had the pleasure of viewing this home before the offer was made & I was in heaven. Taking a short-cut through the Bel-Air Bay Club & up the hill to Hees House. I fell in love right away.

The exterior’s clean lines & smart landscape would have jumped out at any lover of MCM (short for Mid-Century Modern) Walking up to the home I saw peek-a-boo views inside. All I saw was walls of glass with views of the ocean.

Being situated above PCH & the Bel-Air Bay Club, the view was bird’s eye baby & one of the most inspiring I’ve seen.

From the kitchen, master bedroom, backyard, & guest suite. Having been renovated, the original architecture has stayed in tact for the most part, Neutra’s numbers are still on the exterior.

Mrs. Hees apparently, took out the wall of built-in walnut shelving. The living area was too dark & Mrs. wanted light to come in so a narrow rectangular window was added. She also did not like guests staying over, that’s right, no guest room. I can understand her thinking, it must be hard to share or even part with a Richard Neutra home built just for you.

The Hees Home in Pacific Palisades is just over three thousand square feet, has three bedrooms, four & a half bathrooms, sits on a quarter of an acre. Asking price $5,275,000.
